THE ACT winners of the Guild's National Pharmacy Awards were announced last night at the branch's annual dinner, with Capital Chemist Kingston claiming top gong for ACT Community Pharmacy of the Year.
Led by community pharmacists and owners Sandra Ferrington and Caroline O'Keefe, the store "exemplifies innovation and excellence in community pharmacy".
The ACT Community Pharmacist of the Year was awarded to Bev Mistry-Cable (pictured), who has drawn on her international experience to embed collaborative, service-driven care in local pharmacy practice.
Based at Cooleman Court Pharmacy in Weston, Mistry-Cable's ongoing efforts to expand pharmacists' scope of practice and improve access to healthcare "continue to deliver lasting benefits for patients and the broader community".
Taylor Dudley, who works at Allure Pharmacy in Civic, was recognised as ACT Student Pharmacist of the Year, having begun her career in a regional pharmacy at the age of 14 and progressing to become a national student leader, excelling academically and professionally.
Guild ACT Branch President Simon Blacker congratulated winners and finalists for "their commitment to their patients, their drive to improve health outcomes". KB
