THE Society of Hospital
Pharmacists of Australia has
appointed Sally Ridgers as its new
general manager of Education and
Services, as part of a restructure to
ensure quality member services.
“This is a pivotal role which will
give direction to core functions
such as continuing professional
development and key events such
as our national conference,” said
SHPA ceo Kristin Michaels.
The Education and Services
division will work closely with the
new Workforce Transformation
Division (PD Mon) to monitor
changes in the profession and
associated training requirements.
Ridgers has been with SHPA for
over ten years, and is currently the
organisation’s Sponsorship and
Conference Manager.
“Having a specialist division that
focuses on continuing professional
development, and related services,
enhances our capacity to be proactive
and ensure future services
utilise technology effectively and
are timely and relevant,” she said.
