THE National Prescribing Service has released the latest edition of its RADAR publication which contains independent, evidence-based assessments of new drugs and other updates. This issue covers the doctor’s bag listing of Penthrox (methoxyflurane) (PD 07 May), Circadin melatonin prolonged-release tablets for primary insomnia in older people (PD 21 Apr) and the use of lower doses of colchicine for acute gout, including updated information about drug interactions and toxicity.
