INHERITED high cholesterol, or familial hypercholesterolaemia (FH), should be identified and treated early, according to new guidance provided by the UK's National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
Those at risk of FH should be offered DNA tests to confirm they have the condition, NICE recommends.
