WITH parents commonly presenting to a pharmacy seeking advice on how to manage fever in their infants and younger children, pharmacy assistants are often the first person they speak to, The Pharmacy Guild of Australia says.
As such, pharmacy assistants play an important role in recognising where referral to the pharmacist is appropriate, and refresher training to get this right is now available.
Guild Learning and Development has partnered with RB to develop an online course around utilising the ASK-ASSESS-ADVISE protocol.
Titled 'Managing fever in infants and toddlers', the QCPP Refresher Training is at myCPD.org.au.
