THE US Food and Drug
Administration has announced that
the U.S. Marshals Service seized
more than 100 cases of products
labeled as containing kratom.
Mitragyna speciosa, commonly
known as kratom, grows naturally
in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia
and Papua New Guinea but the FDA
says serious concerns exist about
kratom toxicity for multiple organ
systems.
The seized products worth around
$150,000 are “unapproved” and
