THIS week's contributor is Kellie Saunders, Network Partner at TerryWhite Chemmart Cheltenham, VIC - Community Sponsorship: So often we can lose sight of the value of connection with people and our community. Offering grants or sponsorships to local organisations is one way of anchoring your pharmacy to the community helping to set you apart from other businesses in the area.
We have been providing a Community Grant program for over 10 years as a way of enriching relationships with our community. The program works by application with criteria assessed at store level and focusses primarily on not for profits, sporting clubs, schools/kinders and service providers that, without financial assistance, could not achieve the goal outlined in the application.
Connection doesn't happen overnight but once engaged, we gain customer loyalty and widen our opportunity to showcase the fantastic services we offer at our TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacy.
Pharmacy is perfectly positioned to engage with community sponsorship and at TWC this is made even easier through online marketing tools like iLAM and the support provided through our BDM. There is also great personal satisfaction we all get from the community work we do. We all need human connection and rather than just helping those that walk through our door, we can reach further afield and expand the great work we do even deeper into the community.
At TerryWhite Chemmart we call this 'real chemistry'.
