THE Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has issued a combined total of $396,000 in infringement notices to 20 Melbourne retail businesses for the alleged unlawful supply of vaping goods.
This resulted from a Dec 2024 joint activity with the Victorian Department of Health.
Each business was given a $19,800 infringement notice.
Over 7 million vaping products have been seized since 01 Jan 2024, and in the second half of 2024, the TGA issued 54 infringement notices to businesses and individuals for allegedly advertising, supplying, possessing or importing unlawful vapes.
