Takeda milestone

THIS month Takeda has marked a milestone, with one billion treatment courses of Somac (pantoprazole) having been administered worldwide since its launch in 1994. Meanwhile, in Australia alone, the company has clocked up an impressive 40 million units of the gastrointestenial product since 1995. Interestingly during 2010-11 Somac was Australia’s seventh most prescribed PBS medicine.
