medication can halve the risk of
dying from cancers, according to
new British research presented to
the European Society of Cardiology
conference in Florence this week.
Almost 23,000 cancer patients
were studied and results mirrored
the body of previous work that
had found statins reduce the risk
of breast cancer returning by up
to 50%, prostate cancer by 47%,
bowel cancer by 30% and a 22%
