A NEW protocol proposed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) to manage and communicate medicines shortages (PD 29 Mar) has received the support of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) in its submission to the consultation.
SHPA federal president Professor Michael Dooley says the proposed protocol -- which has been informed by data gathered by SHPA members at a grassroots level -- will provide important protections for Australian patients.
