CHARITY group Rare Cancers Australia has launched KnowledgeBase, a first-of-its-kind online resource for those living with rare or less-common cancers.
The platform aims to connect sufferers with information, services, and care that could change their lives.
There is information on more than 200 rare cancers, a database of cancer centres, support services, clinical trials and treatment options.
There's also a list of financial service assistance, support groups and non-profit organisations.
Prince of Wales Clinical School Professor David Goldstein called the resource an important step forward for rare cancer patients, who have for a long time lacked a single information source from which to learn about their conditions and interact with like-minded Australians and medical experts.
See the new online resource at knowledge.rarecancers.org.au.
