The Pharmacy Board of
Australia will not introduce a
new requirement for accredited
pharmacy preceptor training from
01 Jul, with a communiqué from
the Board’s latest meeting saying
it now plans a consultation on the
issue as part of its review of the
Supervised practice arrangements
registration standard.
The Board update also includes
information on conditions on
Recency of Practice, and how
pharmacists can satisfy this
requirement which applies
to pharmacists who have not
practised pharmacy for more than
450 hours in the previous 3 years.
There are also new AHPRA
guidelines on complaints, and a
Guide for practitioners comprising
information sheets to explain what
happens when the Agency receives
