KRISTEN Anderson (right) has been named the CHARMING Institute’s Advanced Primary Care Pharmacist Fellow for 2013-2015. Anderson graduated from James Cook University in 2005 and was the PSA’s Pharmacy Student of the Year. After working as a clinical hospital pharmacist she then secured a role delivering educational programs to clinicians in rural and remote Qld on behalf of NPS MedicineWise. The Fellowship will see the accredited pharmacist undertake a PhD supervised by Ian Scott, Chris Freeman and Danielle Stowasser aiming to reduce “potentially inappropriate polypharmacy in older people through deprescribing in primary care”.
