The saga of double dispensing continues as further medicines are listed today by the Department of Health and Aged Care.
The second stage of medicines available for 60-day prescriptions covers an even wider range of conditions that will impact a pharmacy’s dispensary further.
They include androgen deficiency, arthritis, breast cancer, bipolar disorder, diabetes, epilepsy, hypothyroidism, incontinence, menopause, migraine, prostate cancer and prostate enlargement.
In the first stage, 100 common pharmacy medicines were available for double dispensing last year.
The Department will add more medicines at the final stage in Sep this year.
