THE Federal Health Department has approved a new computer-generated prescription format for highly specialised drugs and trastuzumab.
The updated format is being phased in from this month as part of NSW Health's eMeds electronic medication management project.
More than 50 public hospitals in NSW will be using this prescription format by the end of 2018, with more to be added next year.
