Pharmacy Daily | NAPSA ramps up skill-set

The National Australian Pharmacy Students’ Association (NAPSA) has kicked off its Congress 2014 aiming to refine pharmacy practice skills through a wide array of activities as well as focusing on “areas of health that have generated much attention in recent times.” Over 250 delegates met at La Trobe University, Bendigo Campus, for the week-long National Congress on 25 Jan. Activities this year will assess a pharmacy student’s ability to work efficiently and accurately. The areas of health being addressed include oral rehydration therapy, diabetes education and the management of respiratory conditions in a community setting. Other important elements of the week are participation in the Pharmacy Student of the Year counselling competition and the Webster Packing and Compounding Challenges.
