A MOBILE mental health service
to help people with mental health
crises in Melbourne’s Bayside area
is to be established in a partnership
between Victoria Police, the
Alfred Hospital and the Australian
Government.
Minister for Mental Health and
Ageing Jacinta Collins yesterday
launched the Mental Health
Integration Coordination Unit,
which will be run by Bayside
Medicare Local and respond to
requests from police or ambulance
officers attending incidents in the
Port Phillip, Stonnington and Glen
Eira areas.
In response to feedback from the
local community, Bayside Medicare
Local has made better mental
health services a priority.
The Bayside Medicare Local is one
of the 61 Medicare Locals set up
across the country. The above article was sent to subscribers in Pharmacy Daily's issue from 11 Jul 13 To see the full newsletter, see the embedded issue below or CLICK HERE to download Pharmacy Daily from 11 Jul 13
