EBOS-OWNED point of sale and dispensing software company Minfos has announced it has integrated with My Health Record (MHR), making the functionality available to all Minfos pharmacies registered with the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA).
EBOS Group gm for Pharmacy Technology Andrew Hall said the integration enables uploading of scripts to a patient's record in MHR, access to information such as medical history, medications prescribed, discharge summaries, allergies, adverse reactions and immunisations.
In addition, he said the system can help patients with chronic and complex conditions to better manage their health.
ADHA ceo Tim Kelsey said the announcement represents an "important milestone" to promote the safer use of medicine and reduce the estimated 230,000 hospital admissions each year due to medication errors.
