MELANOMA Patients Australia,
in partnership with Bristol-Myers
Squibb, has released a new book
which aims to help families take on
the task of explaining an advanced
melanoma diagnosis to children.
‘Medikidz Explain Advanced
Melanoma’ utilises superheroes
to describe the symptoms of the
disease, how it’s diagnosed and
the various stages, using a comic
book format and scenarios to which
children and families can relate.
Melanoma is Australia’s third
most common cancer, with over
12,000 diagnoses every year.
