GUILD Learning and Development is partnering with RB in the development of a QCPP Refresher Training online course titled 'The burning issue: Managing breakthrough symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux'.
This course reviews how common treatments for reflux work and when they should be used, as well as examining the non-drug management approaches that may help manage symptoms.
With many OTC medicines available to help treat the condition, the course also provides pharmacy assistants with advice on how to apply the 'Ask, Assess, Advise' protocol to help customers choose the best product for their individual circumstances, or identify patients who require referral to the pharmacist.
