TASMANIAN police have charged a 29-year-old Hobart man with attempted armed robbery, after he allegedly threatened staff at Chemist Warehouse North Hobart with a large knife on Mon afternoon.
The man allegedly demanded money from staff, before fleeing after a customer reportedly intervened by hitting him on the head with a heavy object.
Tasmania Police stated nothing was stolen and no physical injuries were reported, and the man has been bailed to appear in Hobart Magistrates Court on 22 Jun.
