JOHNSON & Johnson has
finalised its takeover of Micrus
Endovascular.
As part of the J&J family, Micrus,
a developer and manufacturer of
minimally invasive devices for
hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke,
will operate under Codman
Neurovascular (a division of J&J’s
DePuy family of companies).
Both Micrus and Codman
produce complementary
technologies for treating cerebral
aneurysms, and will work together
to develop products for
hemorrhagic stroke and ischemic
stroke.
According to Codman &
Shurtleff worldwide president, P.
Laxmin Laxminarain, together the
companies will create “one of the
world’s broadest portfolios and one
of the deepest pipelines in the
