THE Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia has released the first edition of its new quarterly journal, titled Pharmacy Growth, Research, Innovation and Training (GRIT).
GRIT is also the new home of DrugScan, Medication Safety and Case Reports, and complements the SHPA's established Journal of Pharmacy Practice and Research.
Both resources are free and exclusively available to members of the Society, with the first issue of GRIT featuring mentor-mentee relationships in hospital pharmacy, advice on applying for research grants, and the imminent launch of the National Translational Research Collaboration.
SHPA ceo Kristin Michaels said the title of the publication was the result of a naming competition at the Medicines Management 2016 conference, won by Sarah Hitchen, Jeanie Misko and Vanessa Sinclair.
"GRIT was an instant crowd favourite...we believe it perfecly encapsulates the evolving knowledge and skills you need to be an innovative pharmacist in today's complex and demanding healthcare world".
