GMiA push on Patents

MEMBERS of the generic medicines industry sector are encouraging the government to release the report of the Pharmaceutical Patent Review. GMiA members argue that the supply of generic medicines in Australia is being inappropriately delayed, together with the resulting (very significant) cost savings to the government and the public. The draft report foreshadowed that the Review will provide a series of recommendations to redress the intellectual property system for pharmaceuticals.
