THE US Food and Drug
Administration has approved the
first generic version of Crestor
(rosuvastatin calcium) tablets.
The generic is indicated for the
treatment of hypertriglyceridemia
in combination with diet in adults;
in combination with diet for
treatment of patients with primary
dysbetalipoproteinemia; and either
alone or in combination with other
cholesterol treatments for adult
patients with homozygous familial
