Generic approval

MYLAN has received FDA approval to market its generic version of Astella’s Prograf Capsules (Tacrolimus Capsules, 0.5 mg, 1 mg and 5 mg) for the prevention of post-operative organ rejection. Last year sales of tacrolimus capsules netted Astellas around US$944m, and Mylan’s generic version is slated to go on sale immediately.
