THE US Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) has
conducted a review of dietary
supplements in a bid to prevent
illnesses and deaths from unsafe
supplements.
Under America’s Dietary

Act the agency does not have

supplements before they are
marketed to consumers.
However the FDA is empowered
to take enforcement actions after a
product is on the market if it is able
to prove contamination.
