THE US Food and Drug
Administration has released a
strategic plan which aims to reduce
its response to imminent or existing
shortages of medications.
The FDA has also issued a
proposed rule which requires all
manufacturers of “certain medically
important prescription drugs” to
notify the agency of a permanent
discontinuance or temporary
interruption to manufacturing likely
to disrupt their supply.
Plans include the launch of a
mobile app which will allow easy
