LOSING mental independence is
the greatest fear for aging Aussies,
according to a new study from
Bupa Care Services.
The survey of 1,200 Australians
over 50 also revealed that whilst
nine out of ten participants
expected they would need someone
to care for them in old age, only
two thirds had “given thought” to
how they would pay for that care.
In addition 72% of participants
would like the govt to take on more
aged care responsibility and 60%
said that it was “very important” to
have access to straightforward
information and advice on aged
