CHEMIST Warehouse (CWH) will open its first store in China later this month, The Australian reports.
The pharmacy will be in Zhengzhou, Henan province, in Central China, with the company's Chinese arm to be led by CEO, Nancy Jian.
The decision to launch a bricks and mortar store follows the company's online success, with papers reporting it sold more than $20 million worth of product in the first seven hours of last year's Singles' Day 24-hour sale, through Alibaba's ecommerce platform in partnership with Tmall Global.
The discounter has also announced it has renewed its strategic partnership with Tmall, which will see the expansion of the brand online.
