BLAIR Comley has been appointed as the incoming Secretary of the Department of Health and Aged Care (PD breaking news yesterday).
Guild National President, Trent Twomey, noted Comley's "strong qualifications in economics are impressive".
"On behalf of the Pharmacy Guild and all the pharmacists and staff we represent, we look forward to a constructive and professional relationship with Comley in meeting the challenges ahead and maintaining a viable pharmacy network," added Twomey.
Comley was the Secretary of the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism and the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency between 2011 and 2013.
He then led the New South Wales Department of Premier and Cabinet as Secretary between 2014 and 2017.
