Australians honoured by FIP

THE International
Pharmaceutical Federation
overnight awarded FIP
Fellowships to Australian
pharmacists Professor Jennifer
Marriott of Monash University
and Sydney University’s Dr
Rebekah Moles.
They were among 16
recipients of awards during the
opening ceremony of the 75th
World Congress of Pharmacy
and Pharmaceutical Sciences in
Düsseldorf, Germany.
A FIP Fellowship recognises
individual members of the
organisation who have
exhibited strong leadership, have
distinguished themselves, and
contributed to the advancement of
pharmacy practice.
FIP’s highest awards, the André
Bédat Award and the Høst Madsen
Medal, went to Dr Thomas
Lönngren of Sweden and Professor
Hans Junginger of Germany
respectively.
NZ pharmacist Jane Dawson,
who is secretary of FIP’s Military
and Emergency Pharmacy Section
also received an FIP Fellowship,
along with FIP members from the
UK, Germany, Switzerland, Japan,
Canada and the USA.
