APC names new members

THE Australian Pharmacy Council
has announced the names of the
new appointees to its Accreditation
and Examining Committees, after
receiving a very strong response
when nominations were sought
earlier this year for academic
members and two newly created
positions of early career pharmacist
and statistician/psychometrician.
Teresa DiFranco and Yelitte Ho
are the two new Early Career
Pharmacist members of the
Examining Committee, while Dr
Curtis Lee is the new statistician
member.
DiFranco did her pharmacy
training at the University of WA
and is active within the PSA, while
Ho undertook his studies at the
University of Canberra and has
been involved with the ACT Health
IMPACT program as the sole
representative of ACT pharmacists.
The new members of the
Accreditation committee include
Professor Rhonda Clifford from the
University of Western Australia; Dr
Rohan Rasiah, Associate Professor
in Pharmacy at the University of
Newcastle; Dr Erica Sainsbury
from the University of Sydney
Department of Pharmacy; and
Professor Peter Stewart, Professor
of Pharmaceutics and Deputy Dean
in the Faculty of Pharmacy and
Pharmaceutical Science at Monash
University, who will retire this year.
The APC has also confirmed the
reappointment of John Low and
John Jackson to the APC Council.
