THE Government has agreed to a request from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety for an extension of six months, to allow for further evidence to be presented.
Minister for Aged Care, Richard Colbeck, said it was important that the aged care sector continued to provide high quality care "and that we understand where we can make improvements," with reforms continuing to be implemented while the commission progresses.
