NOVARTIS has downplayed suggestions that it’s interested in acquiring generics firm Actavis, after reports of a possible offer in the Wall Street Journal on Fri. The story also said Actavis had recently rejected a $15 billion takeover offer from Mylan, and is also in “early-stage discussions” with Warner Chilcott.
