REACHING the standard
COMMUNITY pharmacy's Quality Care Pharmacy Program has been updated and revised to meet the changing business and practice environment.
The new QCPP Requirements are a major innovation and simplification of the program, while maintaining robustness in supporting quality patient care in pharmacy services.
Key changes include:
*Remapping the current 18 elements of the program into five domains aimed at supporting business growth and encouraging continuous quality improvement and innovation:
- Business Management and Governance
- Human Resources
- Premises, Infrastructure and Stock
- Customer Experience
- Pharmacy Services
*Adopting relevant standards, guidelines and legislation by reference. This has replaced checklists (red section) and procedures (green section) contained in the current QCPP Requirements (blue folder).
