The Australian Competition and
Consumer Commission has issued
a draft decision proposing the
reauthorisation of the infant
formula marketing code.
The Marketing in Australia of
Infant Formula (MAIF) agreement
is a voluntary, self-regulatory code
which governs the marketing of
formula for babies up to one year.
ACCC Commissioner Delia Rickard
said the MAIF Agreement is “a cost
effective way to help protect and
