has issued an Intention to Grant
for Progen Pharmaceuticals Ltd’s
patent application for ‘Sulfated
Oligosaccharide Derivatives’ No.
05706346.3, which protects the
company’s PG500 series of heparan
sulfate mimetic molecules and their
use in therapeutic areas largely
related to oncology, Progen said.
The lead compound in the series
was being tested in an open-label,
multi-centre Phase I study to
test the safety and tolerability by
intravenous infusion in patients
