a report showing 66% of
patients who presented at major
metropolitan hospitals’ emergency
departments departed within four
hours from October to December
2013, compared with 53% of
patients in the same period in
2011.
The Australasian College for

the Federal Government’s budget
proposal to introduce an ED copayment
could jeopardise these
