has reminded pharmacists to
check patients are eligible for
the Pharmaceutical Benefits
Scheme (PBS) and the Repatriation
Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme
(RPBS) before supplying them, as
pharmacists might not be paid for
claims if the patient is not entitled
under PBS or RPBS.
Pharmacists are advised to check
a customer’s entitlement card and
make sure details match those
in the system before giving out
medicine, and include these details
