to news service Bloomberg.
Shares in Alexion soared
almost 24% on the news, and
if the deal proceeds it would
see Roche take ownership of
Alexion’s only marketed product,
Soliris, which is an orphan drug
approved by the US FDA for the
treatment of paroxysmal nocturnal
haemoglobinuria and atypical
