THE US Food and Drug
Administration has given final
approval to Mylan Pharmaceuticals
application for clopidogrel tablets
USP 75mg and 300mg.
It’s the generic version of Sanofi-
Aventis’ Plavix, indicated for acute
coronary sydrome and for patients
with a recent history of myocardial
infarction, stroke or established
peripheral arterial disease.
Mylan will have 180 days of
marketing exclusivity for the 300mg
strength which will be supplied in
