US PHARMACY giants CVS Health and Walgreens are set to pay close to $7.8 billion each, to settle disputes relating to the nation's opioid crisis.
The deals are expected to mark the end of multiple lawsuits that have been filed by governments across the US, who have claimed that the pharmacy groups filled prescriptions that should have been flagged as inappropriate.
Meanwhile, rival pharmacy group Walmart has also reached a similar $4.9 billion settlement.
