IN COLLABORATION with consumers, clinicians, researchers and health organisations, the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care has developed a draft Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) Prevention Clinical Care Standard.
Development of a VTE Prevention Clinical Care Standard was proposed by state and territory health departments given that VTE prevention has been identified as an ongoing safety and quality issue in Australian hospitals.
Consultation on the draft Standard closes 30 Sep.
