THE inspection regime for Australia's residential aged care facilities is set for a major shake-up, with the current system of announced accreditation visits to be replaced with "unannounced audits", according to Aged Care Minister Ken Wyatt.
The move is an outcome of the Review of National Aged Care Quality Regulatory Processes, which was made public yesterday.
