THE US Food and Drug Administration is not properly monitoring medicines that have gone to market after fast-track release, says a report in the British Medical Journal by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the auditing service of the US Congress. The FDA’s post-market data have been “found to be incomplete, outdated, to contain inaccuracies” and more, the report stated.
