CHRISTIE McLennan, owner of Taroom Pharmacy in Queensland, was last week named the winner of the 2017 'Marsh' Rural Queensland Ambassador competition.
McLennan, who is also a beef producer, has been heavily involved in the Taroom Show Society and works to encourage young people to get involved with the movement.
After graduating with a Master of Pharmacy from Griffith University some years ago she has also completed a Graduate Diploma of Diabetes Education, according to Queensland Country Life.
Her prize includes travelling to Las Vegas later this year for a conference on agricultural shows, and she will also compete in the National Rural Ambassador State Finals at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2018.
