Novartis GSK deal

Novartis has reached agreement with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to acquire all remaining rights to GSK’s human monoclonal antibody atumumab to develop treatments for MS and other autoimmune indications. The acquisition adds to Novartis’ growing multiple sclerosis portfolio which presently includes Gilenya (fingolimod) and Extavia (interferon beta-1b for subcutaneous injection).
