Health collaboration
August 8, 2016
THE University of Sydney, in an
attempt to better prepare students
for practice in the real world, has
created what it calls the “Health
Collaboration Challenge.”
The Challenge allows participants
to learn about teamwork and
showcase their creative skills in
solving
authentic
complex
patient
cases, bringing together students
from dentistry, nursing, medicine,
pharmacy, occupational therapy,
speech pathology, physiotherapy,
nutrition, diagnostic radiography
and exercise physiology.
This year around 1600 students
in the health disciplines will
compete in teams of six to devise
a management plan for a patient
with complex health needs and
present it back to peers.
